WHAT ARE THE COMPLICATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH SHINGLES?
Shingles is not typically dangerous to healthy individuals although it can create excellent pain during an attack. Anybody with shingles on the upper fifty percent of their face, regardless of exactly how light, need to look for clinical care. There is some risk that the infection might cause damages to the eye leading to blindness.
Problems are unusual but may include partial facial paralysis (typically short-term), ear damage or encephalitis (inflammation of the mind).
