Yes very very contagious especially to older people and if you have shingles it’s very important to shower 2 a day to make sure it dosent spread to other parts of your body

can you still travel while you have the shingles??
my friend has just been diagnosed with the shingles and we are going away in three weeks. Also is it contagious? i have already had the chicken pox?

Shingles is very painful, even if he travels, he will be in pain and never enjoy his travel. hi my grandma got shingles and i have a school party tomorrow and shes gonna cook for it
should she cook or is it contagious to the point if she cooks the kids will get it (high school if it makers a difference)

The virus that causes shingles is very contagious. She can easily spread it. The thing is, it’s the same virus that causes chicken pox. Hopefully your classmates all either had chicken pox, or got vaccinated. If so, they can’t get anything from her.
Cooking will kill the virus. However, if she puts frosting on cupcakes after they are cooked (for instance) and one of your classmates has flaky “ani-vax” parents who didn’t vaccinate them, it could make them sick. Chicken pox is much more serious if you get it when you are older, so this would be more serious for an 18 year old then a 13 year old.

shingles scar wont go away!?
i have a shingles scar on the left side of my neck and i HATE it! when my friends see it they say eww and move away like its contagious and its soooo annoying! my mother says it will go away in time but its been ages and there has been no change so is there anything to make it go away QUICKLY!
of the wood ur sooo LUCKY i have already had this god damn scar for a year >:( THANK YOU EVERY1 SO FAR

Should I have to skip school if I got shingles?
im not allowed to go to school because i have shingles, a minor form of chickenpox that you can only get if you have already had the chickenpox. its caused by a low immune system. the doctor says the only way its contagious is with direct contact with my rashes and people can only get it if the havnt had chickenpox before. my school wont let me go back, but i have a big week this week and i think it is unfair that i cant go. what do you think
