Helen asks…
shingles vaccine?

admin answers:
Most insurances including Medicare do not pay for Shingles vaccine.
However, that is showing up in the older population over 65 even though in their younger years they have received inoculations of small pox vaccine.
This is a serious problem, I know an individual who is 74 and had to fight off the attack of shingles. It disabled him for nearly two months.
There is no way to determine ones susceptibility to getting shingles and therein lies the problem if one should get the expensive shot or not. There is no way to tell. Most people simply take the risk.

The FDA just approved the the new shingles vaccine. Will you get it?

Absolutely not. I have zero faith in vaccine theory, as far as I’m concerned, vaccines are a huge hoax.

Paul asks…
for anyone who has had chicken pox, are you taking the shingles vaccine?
I’ve seen firsthand the pain and mysery that comes from shingles, so I’m hoping everyone will take the vaccine.
I don’t know if there are any side effects to the shot, I’m sure you Dr. can tell you. My dad has been in mysery for 3 years, though, and shingles has ruined his life.

Is Shingles vaccine safe if you haven’t had chickenpox?
I don’t know if I had chickenpox. I remember measles, but no one is around now to tell me if I ever had chickenpox. Was raised in an orphanage so it is likely I did, but the medical records were lost in fire. Should I get the shingles vaccine?

admin answers:
