does anybody know of any over the counter or home remedies for shingles?

Taking aciclovir in the first 2 days reduces the chance of permanent nerve pain from shingles. In the UK you need a presecription for this drug orally. Otherwise pain killers and time will see the infection pass.

Shingles-HELP!?
My mum has shingles and I was wondering if there was any kind of home remedy for the sores acquired from it? Any suggestions?

To stop the itching have her take an oatmeal bath. Shingles comes from the same “bug” as the chicken pox. To ease the inflammation, go to your local Walgreens or CVS and ask for this stuff that is supposed to ease minor skin irritation like blisters from burns eczema and bug bites. It’s a topical soak. You leave it on for 10 minutes and then apply Vasoline to the area. I cannot remember the name of it. I’ll add another comment on here after work tomorrow. I can ask one of the other nurses.

Im 17 and ive had Shingles 2 times…?
i know its caused by stress from the chicken pox virus
i got it for the first time when i was 16.5 – it lasted 6 months
and now im 17.5 and got it again – ive had them for 2 months now
does anyone know any home remedies or anything to help them go away?
ive already been to the doctor and they gave me steroid cream, but i was wondering if anyone else knew any ticks? 🙂

Keep them drained & dry, if they run they’ll spread. (Home Remedy) 2 parts lard~1 part sulfur, mix.
Lard has been used for years to draw out poison sulfur will dry up the shingles. You mix them because sulfur is a powder the lard makes it the consistency of paste so that it will stay on. Always keep the blisters drained then dabbed with alcohol, blotted dry, (never rub dry). This works well if you’re not covered in them, the sooner you catch them & apply this mixture the better it works. Do not use on your forehead, if you get sweaty the lard will run & you’ll get sulfur in your eyes. It can cause severe eye damage, (you can’t feel it burn your skin) that’s how it dries up the shingles, you don’t want it burning your eyes….wash your hands every time you touch those shingles, don’t touch another spot on yourself until you do…Good Luck & God Bless

The basic solution if one part bleach and five parts water.
Use pressure washer on the chimney then seal the brick, stone, stucco or whatever with a sealant.
NOTE: Do not use pressure washer on the roofing material unless on low pressure like the hose.
You can still use the upper solution for the roofing but roofing supply houses have a roof cleaning solvent that they sell which is called ShingleClean. Read the instructions prior to buying and using.

Hello people. PLEASE HELP. I have a rash i think on my stomach and someone thinks it might be shingles but i ?
am not sure. It doesnt really look like a rash it just has 2 red bumps/pimples on it. But it ITCHES like hell!!!
waht should i do? ps.where i live the doctors place isnt open til Monday.
